Google provides limited Nexus One phone support

“Google has finally stepped up to the plate to offer a support phone line for Nexus One owners. It’s a necessary move, given the volume of customer complaints, but it’s also turned out to be a lackluster one.
Nexus One owners can call (888) 48NEXUS between 4am and 7pm PST to speak with a real live person. Unfortunately, though, they’ll only be able to get information on the status/shipping information on your existing order. More >
Rogers now blocking outgoing calls on un-updated HTC Dreams?

There’s been some anger over Rogers first deciding to disable the 3G internet of anyone with an HTC Dream that hasn’t update to their newest ROM, which fixes a 911 bug where 911 calls wouldn’t go through unless the GPS was disable. They also took the liberty of upgrading the SPL and patching the kernel so once you apply their update, you CANNOT root your phone. Now reports have came in that state that Rogers has now cut off outgoing calls to any un-updated phones… More >
Motorola to issue Droid update this week

The rumored update to the Morotola Droid has been confirmed on Morotola’s facebook page today, where they stated that they are “happy to relay the 2.1 upgrade to Droid will start to roll out this week”. There is no current info about what that update will contain, but they assured us that they “will have more information to share on other device upgrades later.“
Its great to see Morotola staying current with their Android versions for their customers.
Today: Android Labs in Waterloo, Ontario

Well, today’s the day of the very first Android Development lab held in Canada (And it happens to be all filled up)! Unfortunately, Ontario is a bit too far for me to travel to take part in this unique one on one time with the Android Dev team, but hopefully in the future they hold one in Vancouver.

This is the second device this week to leak from HTC, with the HTC Incredible being the first. Seems like someone over at HTC can’t keep things on the low-down… not that that’s a bad thing
HTC Incredible shown off, coming to Verizon soon

One of HTC’s latest handhelds, the Incredible, was recently photographed and some specs released. It’s specs are similar to that of the Nexus one. It features a 1ghz snapdragon processor, 256mb of ram, dual flash, and HTC’s Sense UI. It does lack a physical keyboard though. Here are some pictures and a video of it in action…

New Samsung Android 2.1 Phone Launched in South Korea

Samsung has just launched it’s first Android device bound for their home market of South Korea. The new SHW M100S will arrive at SK Telecom this March. Some of the features that have been revealed so far include a crisp, vibrant 3.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen, wifi, gps, 5 megapixel camera with 720p video recording, and Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. Pricing has not yet been released. More >
